Taking Psychological Tests at the National Employment Agency

Before I got this job, I had to take several psychological test and go through an interview with a psychologist. I had to go to Zrenjanin (my school belongs to the Municipality of Zrenjanin).
I was a bit scared of it, but as soon as I entered the building of National Employment Agency I realized there is no need to be worry.
There were several candidates who came for the same job I did. I talked to them about where they studied and if they had been through a similar testing... It turned out that the tests are no big deal.
Some people had told me that I would be given tests of general knowledge and that those tests are very demanding. However, I am glad I didn't get such test. They said that common knowledge is tested only in Novi Sad and Belgrade.

I would really love to hear what you have to say about this.
Are you for or against taking any kind of tests before getting a job in education?
What do you think about those general knowledge tests?

  1. Hi,
Now that I have red this post, I have to tell you that I am a bit scared of this testing.

What were the questions like? Give me an example if you can.

  2. Hi, why of course I can.
I should tell that the testing is no big deal, in fact.
    Just relax.
All you have to do is be yourself. You get to circle some claims, aimed to determine your personality type (whether you're normal and sane); and you have a talk with the psychologist, who asks you about your motives for working with children. At least that's what it is like in Zrenjanin National Employment Agency.
If you ask me, even if you get a common knowledge test, don't panic. Think hard, concentrate, and hope for the best.
    And don't give up.

Please feel free to ask more.
